Gross Soda

We found this soda at Target last week. All the Halloween stuff was 75% off and these looked like cool little cans of soda, so we decided to try it. It says it's Candy Corn flavor. It must have been really really bad. (NO, I didn't try it.....I don't try new things.) This can sat opened in the fridge for several days. I went to throw it out and when I was pouring it out, the color caught my eye. I don't think the picture does it complete justice. It was like neon yellow! I think it might even glow in the dark!!

There's still one can left in the fridge. It will probably still be there next Halloween! Maybe I can stick it in someone's Trick or Treat bag!

For Mommy

Since you love blonde jokes so much, I stole this picture from another website just for you!

I Found It!!

While trying to decide which picture has everyone looking their best, I found the PERFECT picture for the Christmas cards!! It doesn't have all of the kids in it, but THIS has to be our picture this year!

OK. I guess I don't have a problem with making fun of Dingy today after all!

Christmas Pictures

We got our Christmas pictures taken today! Nadine took a BUNCH for us. Now I have to go through and find my favorites. I think I have it narrowed down to TWELVE! The kids were much more relaxed and we got a lot of great shots. This is one that we won't be using. Goofy was being, well goofy, in quite a few shots. I think we are getting a few made where he is 'being himself'. I have a few of Dingy that we sat and laughed at. I decided that we pick too much at her on the blog, so I am not posting them. (But she looked very funny!)

Scouting For Food

We just finished our second weekend of Scouting For Food. Last Saturday, we went out and hung bags on doors asking for a food donation. Today, we went back around to those neighborhoods and picked up the food people had left out. We got off to a very slow start. I was afraid we weren't going to find much left for us. Luckily, there were quite a few people who made donations. I didn't hear our total, but I should get that at the committee meeting on Tuesday. Andy's truck wasn't as full as I thought it should be, but when we got to the drop off place, I found out that there were still bags in two other cars as well.

Here's our group when we were getting started.

And after it was over. (Evan didn't want to get in the picture.)

Some of the boys had left already, but this is most of them....with Evan!

This amused us. All of those boxes except one Deer Park water are alcohol boxes. There was a Boy Scout Troop that was boxing up all of the donations brought in by all of the Packs and Troops in the area. (I am guessing they got these boxes from the ABC store that was right there.)

This is just them unloading the vehicles and weighing the food.

Things That Have Irked Me Today

For some reason, I ran into several things today that just irked me. So now I must share.

First, I took Goofy to preschool this morning and they were painting the doors to the school. The one and only set of doors to the preschool. The poor idiot painting had to keep moving to let the parents through to drop off their children. Plus, there are three preschool classes there on Friday mornings. Why could they not have waited til the afternoon or evening when there wouldn't be little kids walking through? Each of those classes go to the gym through that door. They had to walk about 40-50 kids through those wet paint doors today. WHY? Why paint during preschool hours when there are so many NON preschool hours?

Then, I had to go to Manassas after I picked up Goofy. I drove past a shopping center that had their CHRISTMAS decorations up already! It's the first week of November! Can't we wait til Thanksgiving before decorating for Christmas? It was like 80 degrees today and I'm staring at little Christmas presents hanging off the light posts!

The third thing from today---TWO people told me they hate the background I chose for my blog. I thought it was pretty and fall like. Dumbledork said the letters that aren't black hurt his eyes. Mom said about the same thing only she went further and said, "Yeah it was cute but now I'm done with it!" You just can't make some people happy. All I hear from her is more pictures, more pictures, and now she insults my background!

The last is the most disturbing and irritating thing that happened today. My parents went to Pizza Hut. (Which is where I wanted our supper from, but Dumbledork wouldn't order it for me so we had frozen pizzas.) So anyway, they go to Pizza Hut, so they had a some great pizza, right? NO! One ordered soup and one ordered salad!! WHAT THE HECK???!! Who goes to Pizza Hut and doesn't order a PIZZA?? I wonder if the waitress looked at them and asked "Do you know where you are? This is PIZZA HUT!" I didn't even know they HAD soup at Pizza Hut. NO ONE should know they have soup at Pizza Hut cause it's Pizza Hut and you should order PIZZA!! They just wasted a perfectly good dinner out. I think if you don't know how to order properly at a restaurant you need to just stay home to eat.

Really?

Seriously, does no one EVER watch this kid? Here's a nice handprint on our desk.

And here's the little hands that made it! I have been in the office with him the whole time! I have no idea how he got the stamper out of the drawer beside me! I couldn't get the camera to focus well enough but in person, I can see the Deposit to Account info on his palm. That's how I knew what he had gotten into!

And Painting?

No wonder Goofy had so much fun at Toots'. Aunt Una let them do a LOT! He never gets to play Play Doh OR paint at his own house! (Guess I know what to put on his Christmas list now.)

I'm also wondering how Aunt Una got all these pictures of him. Everytime I try to take pictures he either stops everything or hides from me!

Play Doh Time!

Goofy got to go spend a day with Toots last week. From looking at the pictures of Play Doh time, I can't figure out who had more fun--Goofy or Dumbledork!

One Last Halloween

This is the last of the Halloween pictures. (Unless anyone sends me some that need to be posted. There's a chance I will get some from the party Dippy went to.)

This is the group of kids that were at Dippy's party.
Dippy

Another Dippy

And off they go.

Goofy's Halloween

The videos are in the wrong order. (I don't think Blogger likes me cause I loaded them correctly!) So watch the second one first, please.

This is what a balloon and a lollipop can do to a 2 year old's mood!

He had just seen Dippy leaving with a group of friends to go Trick or Treating. I WOULD have taken Goofy out, but he refused to try on any costumes and he was afraid of all the masks!

Sleepover

It must have been a GOOD sleepover for Dingy. She said Good Night to us last night at 9:00! 9:00 on a Saturday night. THEN, she was the LAST one up this morning. We didn't see her again this morning til after 8 (which was the old 9!) She slept for TWELVE HOURS!! Always a sign of a great sleepover!

More Goofy

Anyone think we need a swingset?

Goofy's Art

Here's Goofy art from school today. He made a face on the little pumpkin and decorated his goodie bag. He had a bag of fruity snacks and a cupcake in the bag. He must not know that, cause the cupcake is still there! (He ate the fruiy snacks in the car in line at the bank.)

Goofy's Halloween

We finally made it in to preschool with NO tears!! YAY!! (Hopefully he will come out the same way.) He wore his Halloween shirt to school. Look how cooperative he was for his picture to be taken! He sat for a long time with his eyes shut--His form of hiding from me.

Do you see the vacuum in the background? Dumbledork is the one who ran it! WOW! He actually knew how it worked and everything!

It Was Nice Knowing You, Dumbledork

I made Dumbledork go to my blog this morning. I had set up the Halloween post yesterday to post this morning. I just wanted to make sure it came up right. Dumbledork clicked on it and saw the witch in the corner. He asked, "How'd your Mom get in on here?" I was horrified as I would NEVER talk about my Mom that way! (Ok, I really laughed my head off, then said I am sooo telling on you!)

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween may not be high on my list of favorite holidays, but someone in the family apparently likes it! Here are some pics Aunt Una sent us. Hope everyone has a great and safe Halloween!

I love the eyes!

Toots kind of scares me in this picture!

The Three Hooligans

Well, there they are. The three little hooligans. Or should I say Characters? (As Dingy's past teacher called the older two.) I am also hearing that word quite a bit around Goofy. Still not sure how to take it....Still wondering what she meant by them being "such characters that I just had to meet them."

Don't look at the pictures too closely. This is going to be what they all wear for their Christmas pictures, too! Which I did manage to somewhat arrange today. We're going a much cheaper route this year than our normal Sears trip, but I think we are going to have better pictures. I think we are going to have them more relaxed and have their true smiles. (As in, the second picture of Dippy and the first of Dingy here.)
