Happy New Year to everyone!!!! It was a beautiful day today, so we took the kids up to the zoo!! Sorry this post is going to be a little long. I got a lot of nice pictures today and didn't really want to seperate them into little posts, but wanted to share them all. Enjoy!
Dippy accused me of being like the paparazzi!
If you click to enlarge this one, look at the baby being held up where my family is looking. Dingy and Rod both say the little boy looked EXACLTY like Widget.
They have a ball displayed that their tigers have played with. I think Mom's dogs have done about the same damage to some of their toys!!
Watching the lions. All the animals were out moving around today. It really is so much better to go to the zoo on a cooler day than a hot, summer day.
The tiger was out walking around. Usually, we just get to see them laying in their cave!
Widget was beig used to attack Goofy.
The turtles provided a nice bit of entertainment. There was one turtle that kept trying to get up on the log with the rest of his friends. He pulled and pulled, but fell back in the water. Then he tried again, and almost made it, but then fell forward into the water. After a couple more tries, he gave up and went to a different log.
Goofy looking at the turtles.
NOPE! He was looking at this toy car in the water!!!
Dippy and Rod looking at brains.
Rod pointing to one the size of Dingy's. :)
Goofy showed this to me. I asked him what it was, he said, "It's a Mr. Krabs."
Rod started drooling here.
Goofy really wasn't that interested in the animals displayed. There were little mice running through all the pens and he saw one here.
See the deer? They're not an exhibit. They're wild deer living in the zoo! That's an exhibit they're working on that is due to open later this year..

Good pictures!! Raccoons, really!!??? Not my favorite creatures.
What?! There were no racoons. Well, there probably were, but I didn't post pics of them! Maybe you were looking at King Julian? And Happy Julianuary!!! And right after we made those goofy comments, a zookeeper came over and filled the kids in on the 'real' animal!! :)
