More Doggie

This is Lyla. She's one of the adult dogs that just lives in the house. She came out to say hi to us when we first got there.

Goofy was having some jealousy issueswith me takign pics of the dogs and not him! That's Ms. Noname behind him.

Another New Addition!

So another new addition is headed to our family! Well....to the extended family. We went to Richmond today and picked up a new Rottweiller for Grandma! I may have to do another post cause I'm not sure I have th eright pics up here this time! (Plus, I might as well take a bunch of pics while we are in possession of the unnamed dog.)

Our Winter 'Wonderland'

We've gotten just a little bit of snow this past week. (Enough snow to make this the #1 winter for snowfall in HISTORY!) We have a really cool icicle thing going on by my bedroom window.

There's a trampoline there...somewhere!

But, let's go see how things are on the front of the house.

Last time I looked, this stuff was supposed to be ON the house. Not on the ground!! Oh, and the base of the column used to be straight! A little more force and I'm thinking I could have lost my entire porch!

These are the ice chunks that landed on the porch.

And this is Goofy yelling at me and Dippy to get inside the house. Not sure why he was mad, but he was very upset with us for being outside!

On the bright side, did you notice the blue sky and the sunshine in the pictures? We haven't seen those for a few days! It would just be nice if my house were still standing when all of this is over!

Relay For Life

It's time for us to start our fundraising for the Relay for Life!! Our Relay is being held this year on May 15 and 16. My idea this year is to try and sell the Luminaries that they line the track with. The Luminaries are in honor of, or in memory of, someone who has or had cancer. They are only $10 each. They get placed around the track during the day on Saturday, and then in the evening, after the Survivor events, they are lit.



This is a picture of one from last year. (It is in memory of our Team Captain's grandma.)



The picture isn't that great of the Luminaries, but you can sort of see how they line each side of the track, and as you walk you can read the names on each of them.

New Snowman

We built a new snowman yesterday! :)

There he is! Yep. He! I was wrong! I guess that has to happen every 20 years or so. :) I'm sure Dippy and Dingy will be happy though. They both wanted a brother.

Stella Graduates!!

Stella graduated from the beginner class at training last night!!! We're waiting for Dingy and Sara to go through the class now and then we're all off to the intermediate course!

She brought the tunnel out as a treat for the doggies.

And yes, even a graduation cap for us!

Cast of Characters

I updated the cast of characters off to the side of the blog. I added a picture of the new baby and all of the fishies! I just wanted to make sure you took a gander over that way!!

Dippy's Fish

Dippy got himself a fish the other night. It's a King Betta. The drawn fish in the background......That's its friend. :)

Renaming the Blog

I guess we're going to have to come up with a new name for this blog. It can't hardly be the Adventures of Dippy, Dingy and Goofy when there will be a fourth one to talk about! (The address won't change cause I don't want to deal with that mess!) So we need a name for the baby! We need it's fictitious blog name AND a real name. I'm going to work on the blog name first. We have exactly 5 months from today to figure out the real name. The way negotiations are going, we'll need the ENTIRE 5 months! I do not understand why Rod won't just say, "Sure Shanelle, you can name it whatever you like." That would just make this so much easier. We all know my ideas are sooo much better than his anyway! I was seriously joking a while back when I said if I had another boy I would name it Justin Time. Well, guess what name Rod is stuck on for a boy now?? Yep. Justin Time. And his girl's name? Won't even discuss it cause he says it's a boy, but also vetoes any name I throw out for a girl.

The Big News

Well, with the nasty weather they're having in the Arctic (aka Pennsylvania!) and the vehicular problems we are having here, (I would say here in the tropics, but I think those PA people have been sharing their weather with us!) it looks like we have to postpone our Christmas trip. So, the news we were going to share in person, will now be shared here!



So here it is. I know, it has leaked a little. BUT.....tap, tap, tap, tap, (that was my lame attempt at a drumroll! sorry)



The fourth and final Kirkpatrick/Ferringer baby is set to arrive late this spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Or would it be early summer? June 9 is the current due date. We're pushing more for May, but I don't know if I can get the doctors to go that early or not.



Those of you who had already heard are now free to talk openly! :)

Poor Goofy

The kids are getting very annoyed with my new camera! I still can't get all the pictures in focus. And almost every picture I take in Dingy's room is blurred very badly! So I NEED to practice! Apparently, the flash is giving them all permanent white lights in their vision.

Goofy had fallen asleep right before dinnertime. I let him go til later than I should have and then I woke him up to eat. I was afraid that he would sleep til one in the morning and then decide it was time to start his day! So not only did I wake him up, but then I couldn't just let him eat in peace!

I know he looks rough here. But see him pointing at his plate? He asked, "Why you take a picture of my ketchup?" (I have no clue why he thought I was taking a pic of his food and not of him!)

And this is where the flash begins to annoy him.

That's a pretty mean glare he has!! And yes, I did quit and let him eat his nuggets after that!

Eww...and Ouch!

While Rod and I were out Christmas shopping last week, we got a phone call from Dippy. He said he hurt his toe on the stairs.

Dingy's MEAN!!!

Dingy and I were looking through a box of old photos. Most of them were her from birth to around her first birthday. She saw this one and she said, "Hey! There's Grandpa without all the gray hair!"

Christmas is Over

It was a long, hard day of playing with new toys! He crawled into bed with me while I was watching tv and he fell asleep within minutes! This little Christmas nap lasted over TWELVE HOURS!!

The Box the Toy Came In...

You know how when kids are little, they always seem to have more fun with the boxes than whatever toy happened to be inside?? Well, I guess SOME people just don't grow up!
He built a tank out of the two TV boxes and the box my new camera came in!! That's right. I got a new camera! I know this post was supposed to be about Dippy and his tank...but I got a new toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) (still have to figure out how to work the darn thing, though! It's VERY fancy, high tech! It might take me a couple of months to figure it out, but I'm going to have fun trying!!)

OK. Back to Dippy.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas! I have to go read some more in my manual and play a LOT more!! I'm running out of subjects though. The kids are running from me, so I have been taking a lot of pictures of the dogs!
