Tired Yet?

So are you tired of looking at my beach pictures yet? Sorry. We got a little boring after that trip! School starts next week, so hopefully there will be more stories around here then.

Our Beach Fire

The owners of the house we rented told us we could build a fire on the beach if we wanted. We wanted. :)

We planned on doing this the last night Cassie and Adam were there, but the rain ruined that idea! I think I am glad, though. Our plan had been to cook hot dogs over the fire for dinner. The fire was really, really hot. Like, Really hot! I don't think we would have been able to comfortably cook a dog. When we did make the fire, it was after dinner and we were making Smores. Or trying to. Did I mention the fire was really, really hot?

We even did a little night time swimming. (more them two, then we.)

Do you know what my brilliant Dingy asked? Standing by the fire in the picture below, she asked, "Can we get a sunburn this way?" Ummmm...No. But the moon is rising, so go grab your moon tan lotion!

There are more vacation pictures coming. I just haven't had time to get them up here. Hopefully later today I will have some time to work on it.

I bathed Goofy Tuesday morning and got him dressed. I put his shirt on and he picked at it and said, "What's this?" Ummm...Your shirt! It was off less than an hour later! I think he wants to be back at the beach wearing nothing but his swimtrunks! Oh. And he made Dingy take him outside to go potty!

Wildlife

We went exploring along the beachline and found some wildlife. Or at least proof that someone had been there.

This was cool. There were deer tracks, and geese tracks, and all kinds of other little bird tracks.

We even saw Bigfoot's tracks. Then we realized that Dingy was walking in front of us!

First Week's Crew

Vacations Are Rough!

This would be from the morning that those two, delicate looking, little girls ate their weight at breakfast! Between the two of them, they scarfed down an entire pound of bacon, six (?) cinnamon rolls and 4 eggs! I put the bacon on the counter, turned around, and when I went back it was GONE!! All that was there were two giggling kids!!

The BIG One

Dippy caught the biggest fish on our little vacation. He caught a 14 pound catfish!

We're BAA aack!!

We're HOME!! My plan was to come home, unpack the food, unpack my clothes, then download the pictures. BUT--I had a slight change of plans. Everything was on schedule until we opened the front door. A horrible odor hit us. We started by opening any and all windows and then we set up a fan in the kitchen to circulate the air. I found the culprit when I opened the freezer. It seems that last Friday, when we left, the freezer door was open some. Everything in the freezer had thawed out and started to SMELL!!! So instead of simply unpacking food, I had to throw out everything in the freezer, and scrub it out. Yuck Yuck and YUCK!! I am now off to unpack the clothes and other things THEN I can download pictures. So stay tuned. The pics, they are a-comin'!

Where to Start??

OK. I have sooo many pictures, I have no clue where to start with the posting!! I went through them all again quickly and knew THESE had to be up first! These are so disgusting....but look at the kids smile!

Know what's in the bucket yet? FISH GUTS!! Rod had just cleaned the fish and the kids wanted the guts to try to catch the little minnows that were by the dock!

See how happy Cassie and Dingy are?? And they are playing with fish guts!!

They found a clam inside of one and took it to Rod to open.

See him holding his mouth funny? He chipped a tooth! He said he couldn't believe he chipped his tooth on the clam. I however, said I can't believe you bit a clam that was INSIDE a fish!!
