Park Day Pt. 2

It says part 2, but this is really the first part.  I used two different cameras.  Rod bought himself a new one for work, and of course I needed to play with it.  :)

Not the most photogenic baby.  I have a lot of pictures that look like he could be drugged.  :)

That's all the geese we could find this morning and they weren't interested in coming over to get our bread.  Normally, when they see bread, they come up out of the water and then more and more come to join them.  There were at least 3 other families there, so maybe they had had enough today.  I hope I don't have to start looking for a new place to go to feed them.

Park Day Pt. 1

Today was a teacher work day, so NO SCHOOL!!!!  I took the little people over to the park to feed the ducks/geese and play a little.  The ducks and geese were not happy to see us like they usually are, so we just played on the playground.

Marvel LOVED the swing!!  He was giggling a LOT.

Random Pics

Well, I was going to make a big ol' post for our 20th anniversary....that was LAST month!  Apparently, I didn't get it all together and now I feel it is too late.  I'll blame my computer crashing for it.  Not my laziness.  But I did have a couple of pictures already scanned in that were going to go into that post.  I have nothing much new to share this weekend, so maybe you'll enjoy these.  They're both old, but one is a "never before seen".  Excited yet?  :)

So, in the post I HAD been working on, I was trying to highlight some of the more major happenings in the last 20 years.  I think we all can remember Goofy's burn and week long stay at Children's Hospital pretty clearly.  Except him.  Which might be a good thing.  I remember the nurse that took us from the ER to a room that day telling me, "You'll never forget this and he'll never remember this."  I can't remember what I did last week, but I remember so many details of that week.  Goofy didn't even know what the scar on his hand was from.  His preschool teacher asked me about it.  She said she asked Goofy and he told her "Lukey did it."  After that, we did tell him what exactly had happened.

Anyway, his burn happened in December, and every December (I think) the First Lady makes a trip to the Children's Hospital to visit.  Our room was one of the rooms picked for a picture with the First Lady.  At the time, it was Laura Bush.  Rod had been spending nights up there with Goofy, and I would get Dingy and Dippy off to school and then go up to spend the day with Goofy and let Rod go to work.  That week, both Dingy and Dippy got the flu.  During the night before this picture was taken, Rod started getting the flu, too, so he doesn't look as good as he generally does in pictures.

This picture isn't a "never before seen".   If Dingy didn't have long hair, I could almost pass this off as a picture of Widget and Marvel.  I think I may have to scan some old photos and put in some new ones and play, "Guess the Kid"!

Broken Toe Nail

I broke a toe nail the other day.  It was sticking up, partially connected.  Widget saw it, fussed over it, then ran off.  He came back with the clippers!  He tried to take care of it for me.

Art Show

Today was the schools' annual art show.  The place was PACKED!  The show is for all of the elementary, middle, and high schools for the county.  It took us a while to find the high school displays.  Then after we saw what we were looking for, we apparently left the gymnasium by a different door.  We were wandering through hallways of art just looking for an out door!!  I almost sent out a help through Facebook that we were trapped inside the school!  :)  We did finally find an exit door.  It was no where near the parking lot and the car, but at least we made it outside and out of the crowd.

Dingy's boyfriend had a piece, maybe two, in the show.  She took a couple of pics of the one of his we could find.

Dippy had a panda picture get entered.  (The teachers choose the artwork.  We get a letter if anything from our kid gets selected) Dingy wouldn't let me take a picture of him with his piece.  He wasn't even going to go with us today, but I told him there was lunch involved so he went.  He got a new pair of shoes out of the deal, too.  Widget was not wanting his picture taken.  Maybe there were too many people there for his liking.....Dippy's, too.
We couldn't pick Goofy up for a picture.  Luckily, he was tall enough.

Dingy asked Dippy why his was all black and white.  Other people had colorful pictures.  Dippy and I both just looked at her and said....Pandas are black and white!  Duh.  :)

Widget

While I was in the office last night updating the blog and working on Rod's business stuff, I thought Widget was in the house watching TV with Rod.  Instead, when I walked in, this is what I found.

I hope he got rested, because we have a busy day of running ahead of us.  Dippy has a picture in the art show, so we need to go over there to see that.  Goofy needs a new pair of cleats for baseball, Dingy needs her prom shoes and jewelry.  Goofy has a few dollars burning a hole in his pocket, so I told him I would take him to GameStop.  Although, he is still grumbling because I said he could not purchase a game rated M (for mature).  Of course, there's the usual stop at the bank and post office, too.  Well, I just wore myself thinking about all of our stops!

Rod Grows a Pineapple

Rod keeps wanting to try to grow a pineapple. So he stuck the top of one we had eaten in a bowl of water.  And let it sit.  It has dried out at least 2 times.  Dingy and I have both 'watered' it.  Its getting smelly and moldy.  I finally had to tell him to let it go last night.

Baseball Starts!!!!! :)

Baseball practice started Tuesday night!! :)

Goofy has moved up from T-Ball to machine pitch.
 Warming up, playing catch
This was running relay races at the end of practice.

I have more from Thursday night, but those pictures are on Rod's camera.  There could even be some bloody pictures.  Goofy took a ball to the nose during practice.  But that's a story for when I have those pictures!

Dingy Drives

Yesterday Dingy received her official driver's license.  Yay?

This is after we got home.  Finally a picture with her and her car.  Well, the car she drives.  She has to share with Rod.
These are from outside the courthouse after receiving the license from the judge.
They were cold and had enough of me so were turning to leave.
This is the picture I put on Facebook.  (I got yelled at from Rod for that.)

THIS is the one he allowed to put on Facebook. Really? I think I chose better.

7 Months Old

Marvel is 7 months old today.  I'm not sure of the 6 month picture ever got posted.  But here he is today.  During one of his very short naps.  Yesterday he napped for 2 1/2 hours.  Today it was barely a half hour!
