Pics

We got the kids' pictures taken this evening.  The photographer we had was AWESOME!  She didn't just pose the kids, she let Widget wander around some and took pics here and there, too.  We got some of the best pics!

These are all out of order.  But here's the older two.

Windy Day

We went up to DC today.  Rod heard that the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom and Dippy had never been to that park near the airport.  Now, I checked the official cherry blossom website and according to it, the peak seaon this year starts on March 20th.  And guess what......NO cherry blossoms!!  AND...when we went to Gravelly Point Park, it was soooo windy and cold AND the planes weren't coming in over us.  They were leaving over us!  Everyone (except me and Dippy) were complaining about the cold and wind.  So we didn't stay very long. 

 It was very windy!  Look at the hair!!

 Then we TRIED to a nice pic of Rod and the kids.  Notice I said TRIED.  It didn't work.  At all!  Keep your eye on Dippy in the next few pics.

 Now, you can't exactly SEE Dippy.  But his sweatshirt is off to the left side.  Look at Rod's eyes.  It makes me wish I could see what exactly Dippy was doing!!

 Finally, he agreed to be seen.  And blocked out his DAD!!

 He better be more co=operative when we go to the professional!!  And if they would have all stood nicely, we could have skipped going to a studio.

Snow and Story Hour

Instead of school today,we went to the ice skating rink for a fun morning of playing on the ice and in snow and then a snack and story, too! 

The very first toy Widget picked up is a toy we have at home.  And I'm giving it away because it frustrates and annoys Widget so much.  And as much as he dislikes this toy, it was still the FIRST thing he picked up!!

 Snack time!!!  They all got cookies and hot chocolate.  Yum.

 Story time.  Widget almost listened to it.  He stood there a little, and he even sat down for about 30 seconds. 

 And......he crashed on the way home.

Sorry there hasn't been any new posts for a looooong time.  If you would listen to Grandma talk, you would swear it's been almost a year since I posted anything!  Today is a special Snow and Story Hour for the little guys.  Instead of going to school, Goofy's school is going to the ice center!!!  :)  AND....siblings are invited!!!!  :D  This will be Widget's first chance to play in actual SNOW!!  OK, it's manufactured by the ice people, but it's the closest he'll probably get this winter.  I have the batteries to BOTH cameras charging.  I WILL get pictures today!  Unless I do something entirely stupid, like leave the batteries in the house charging when I go.  :)
