Widget Drives

This was on our way back to VA last weekend. We had to make an extra potty break, so we let Widget out to stretch a little, too. First, he checked his rearview mirror. Driving is fun!!!

Money Clip

So we were out with Dad last weekend. I told him I needed an ATM before breakfast. He handed me a wad of cash and told me to take what I needed....and to pay him back later. He always remembers to add THAT part! :) I took what I needed, but his paper clip came off with it. I said, "Ooops. I took your paper clip." He said, "That's not a paper clip. That's my money clip!" Guess what I'm getting Dad for Father's Day. Yep. A money clip. But I'm not going to the jewelry store and getting a nice fancy one. Nope. I'm going to STAPLES!! I can buy him like 1000 of his little money clips without even coming close to breaking the bank!!!

Practicing for June

Widget is practicing for his first birthday cake! I think he's got it! :)

Widget and the Swiss Roll

We found out that Widget likes Swiss Rolls. How we found out? I was holding Widget while playing on the computer. I had a package of Swiss Rolls open beside my computer. Widget saw it, and snatched it!!

So we gave him one of his own....

I think he's going to have no problems diving into his first birthday cake in a couple of months!!!

1st Day of Spring!!!!!!!!!! :)

Spring is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

It was a little chilly, but we headed for the outdoors anyway!

Yes. Widget was falling out of Dippy's hands. You know what he was doing? Grabbing handfulls of mulch!! Oh. And yes, I got him before Dippy lost his grip.

Now that Spring is here, I'm hoping the warm weather will be soon, too!!!

Why is Widget Dirty?

I put Widget in the swing and then I was pushing Kirk on the other swings. I went back to Widget, and he was covered in mulch! He looked like he had been crawling through the playground!!

Roboticon 2011

Dippy's Roboticon was yesterday. He only came out of the pit for the first match. After that, he stayed in the background while the other teammates ran the robot. So I didn't get a lot of pictures of him!

The high point of our day. His team name is the Dominators. This was after the 38th match. (Out of 60)

And the scoreboard for just match 38.

He came back out for the alliance selections at the end of the elimination matches. He finished 10th, but wasn't picked for a final alliance.

Out of 48 robots, his team finished 10th. Not too bad. :) I think last year, their highest rank was somewhere around 20.

FBI Truck

The FBI was at the Roboticon with one of their robots.

Always a nice feeling when you walk up to a school and see this truck!! At least they were just there for a demonstration! Although, school security rolled up while we were getting a tour of the van. I'm thinking one of the school's neighbors must have noticed the truck. :)

Ryan's Birthday

Goofy went to his friend's birthday party yesterday. This is Ryan. It was his 4th birthday.

Goofy's Preschool Music and Art Show

Goofy came in, got out of line, and went to sit on those chairs. Those chairs were for a DIFFERENT class! He was supposed to be facing us!!

They got him to where he belonged.

I was trying to get a pic of Widget while we waited for all the kids to get back to their classrooms. Rod was being uncooperative with holding him so I was being attacked!!

Maybe next year he'll sing. Or do the hand gestures. Maybe. But, he'll probably just sit there. Again!
