Anniversary

Yesterday was our 20th wedding anniversary.  (I am working on a post about that, but it isn't ready yet.)  Rod brought me home flowers and we went out to the Cheesecake Factory.  YUM!!!  That place is A-MAZE-ING!!  It's a little pricey, so we won't be going there regularly, but we will be going back at some point. 

Here are the pretty flowers that Rod brought home for me. 

 

Of course, with as nice as they are, nothing will ever compare to the flowers he bought me for our 3rd anniversary.  Well, it wasn't exactly the flowers, but the card.  I'm not even sure if I kept a picture of the flowers.  (They were 3 red roses and baby breath, just so you know that I do remember what they were. )  But this card......I have kept!

 

 

Can you tell why?  HE SPELLED MY NAME WRONG!!!!!  This was our 3rd anniversary....1996.  We started dating in December of 1989.  So 6 years and 3 months later, he still didn't know how to spell my name.  Then, he has tried to tell me that the girl at the flower shop wrote it.  I know his writing! 

When he gave me the flowers yesterday, I DID go in search of a card, too.  Just to see.  He didn't put one in there.  Don't put in a card....can't spell the name wrong.  ;)

New Baby

I went to put the baby in his bouncy seat and found that we apparently had a new baby that needed the seat.  Widget was standing beside it smiling, so I think I know who may have put the puppy in there.

 

Widget's Parking Job

If this is how Widget is going to drive, he is NEVER getting his permit!!!

He pulled his car in between Rod's truck and his van.  It's STUCK!!

 

 This is from the other side.  On the plus side, Widget has a new word......stuck.  :)

 Rod pushed on it a little and was able to free it for him. 

Computer Issues

OK.  I know the blog needs updated.  I have been having computer issues.  My laptop is now going to have to go visit the laptop doctor.  Rod toldme I could use his laptop and he even said I could download my pictures to it.  But IT doesn't work either!!!!  I THINK I may be able to use Rod's office computer and possibly update the blog.  But if I do, I will only be able to use pictures from my phone because Rod doesn't allow me to download pictures to his computer.  We'll see if it works.  If not, keep checking back because as soon as I have my computer back, I'll be posting pictures!  Marvel turned 6 months old last week, and I have pictures of that.  I took something else that I can't even remember now with my camera!  I guess we'll just all be surprised with what I post when I can!  :)

Our Snow Day

We had our big snow of the season today.  The hyped it up on the news as the biggest snow storm since 2011.  I'm not sure if they realize that 2011 wasn't that long ago.  I'd be more impressed if they could have said an early 1900 year instead.

 

I looked out the boys' bedroom window this morning and saw that black spot on the top of my car.  It looks like there is no snow on part of my roof.  I momentarily panicked.  I thought someone forgot to close the sunroof and my car would have snow inside.  But it's OK.  I remembered that I don't have a sunroof.  :)

 

After a completely unsuccessful and disappointing day of shopping, we came home and went sled riding.  Dingy wanted to go and we took Goofy.  Dippy declined our invitation and I made Widget stay home.  He gets cold quickly.

 

This was only the second time Goofy has gone sled riding.  The other time he was somewhere around Widget's age. 

 He was aiming for the snowman someone had built at the bottom of the hill.  We go to the school and use their hill and snow.

 Goofy was soaked by the time we left. 

 They decided to roll down the hill.

 Dingy was falling. 

 Like Goofy's new jacket?  We just bought it Sunday for $14.  Down from $68!  He broke the zipper in his old one last week.  I wasn't going to get him a new one for this year, but couldn't pass up the price.  And possibly Widget and/or Marvel will eventually get it, too.

 Goofy went down the hill on his back, using his jacket as a sled.  Dingy needed to try it.

 She didn't go as fast as Goofy. 

MMMmmmmm........Donuts!

Dippy was bored on Saturday.  He came down around dinner time and said he wanted to make donuts.  He found a recipe and went to it.  The recipe said to sprinkle them with powdered sugar.  He glazed them instead.  They were AMAZING!!!!

Sunday Afternoon

Goofy must have had a rough weekend.  This was before dinner.

I hope he is well rested because I think they got out every toy they own today.  That's going to have to be cleaned up before bedtime.

Our weekend

 I'm going to combine a few things into one post.  Yes, I just may be getting lazy!

 

Marvel sat in a new walker this weekend.  His sleeper was almost camoflage with the seat! 

 I took the padded seat out of this play seat so I could wash it.  While it was in the wash, Widget played in it.  This was just a little annoying because this toy was bought for Widget when he was a baby, and when it was his, he refused to play in it.  But now that its not his, he wants to play in it!

 Goofy fell on the sidewalk Friday night.  We went to BJ's and I forgot the water bottles we needed to return in the car.  Goofy and I went out to get them, and I JUST said, "Don't run or you're going to fall!"  Not one minute later, he was on the ground.  He went clear down to his face, too.  Now he has a bruised nose and a skinned knee.

 Here's Widget NOT listening to me tell him to stay out of the baby's walker. And when Marvel is in the walker, Widget pushes him allllll over the place.  I never know where I will find him.

 Dippy and Widget were playing on my white board.  Somehow, the drawing got continued onto a child!
