Injured Widget

Widget smashed his big toe last night.  :(
We knew this one hurt.  It took a long time for him to settle down, and then it got bumped and he came crying to me again.  Even this morning, he bumped it, and had a little fit.  :(

The Storm

It rained some on our little beach outing.  Not that we let it stop us from having some fun.  We also had the beach almost all to ourselves, too.  (Maybe because other families were smart enough to stay inside!)  We got to see an awesome water spout, though.

Going up into the cloud.....or coming down out....not sure which way it works.

 It changed directions.

 And then it was gone.
I had left my phone in the car so it didn't get wet.  When I went to check the time, I had gotten an alert that the area I was in was under a tornado watch!  I didn't notice until almost 1 and the alert was over at 12:30.

Weirdos!!

We took a quick beach trip today.  Dippy hasn't had a chance to go anywhere with us all summer, and we're running low on summer days now.  It was raining here when we left, but we thought we would give it a shot anyway.  Right when we pulled in, we heard a rumble of thunder and it did start to rain.  Widget and I sat in the car for about 5 or 10 minutes, but then the rain passed.  We watched for lightning, but I figured the kids could play in the rain.....they were going to be wet anyway!!  It rained off and on all afternoon, so I didn't get as many pictures as normal.  I didn't want my good camera out in the rain.  BUT....when I DID have my camera.....the kids were weirdos anyway!!  I knew Goofy had made his 'look' when I took the pictures.  I didn't know Dingy did.  I came home and almost EVERY picture of her was her making a weird face!

Park Night

Dippy wanted to go to the park today, so we made a trip out after dinner.

Widget helped push Goofy on the swing.

I probably wasn't allowed to post the pics of Dippy.  He doesn't allow me to take pictures of him.

Passing the baby over the bridge.  And yes, I DID have to say, "Do NOT throw your brother!"
Pile up at the bottom of the slide
Goofy had a different shirt on, but it was very dirty so I told him to change his shirt before we left.  I didn't think to ask if he did or look at him before we left.  Looking at this....I wish I had checked him out at the house!!

Widget's Weekend

Grandma came down to visit for the weekend.  We made a trip to the Krispy Kreme!  (YUM!)

We even got to watch them make the donuts.
This was Widget by Sunday morning.  Two very busy shopping days in a row was just a little much for him.  He was still sound asleep after 8 o' clock!!  I really cannot remember him sleeping past 7 for at least over a YEAR....possibly longer!!
Widget and his new car seat eating Dingy's kettle corn we bought from the farmer's market.

George Gets a Roof

George finally got the roof put on his new home tonight.  He is outside now, hopefully having a good night.

I don't know why Rod needed the shovel and the broom in the pen, but Widget decided to help with the digging.

See the little fingers 'helping' while Rod was looking at the directions.  He'll probably be kicked out of some sort of Man's Club for reading those, too!
Can you see what the busy little hands have?  They're the hinges that I couldn't figure out the other day.  Rod may need them soon.  Who knows if he's noticed yet that they are missing!

Yes.  He is throwing them through the side of the house.  And, yes.  I was just watching and giggling and NOT helping Rod by letting him know what was going on!  :)

Now both pieces are inside the bottom of the house.
But that's OK.  Widget can get IN there to retrieve them.

For some reason, shortly after this, Rod made me take Widget in the house.  The people house.  Not the bunny's house.  Goofy came in and told me that I had to get Widget.  When I went out for him, Widget was sitting in the upstairs of the bunny's home and Rod looked immensely annoyed!  It probably didn't help that I was still giggling when I took him.
