Our Beach Day

I think he was yelling at the sea gulls.

Apparently, when I put Goofy's sunblock on, he didn't turn around. I made sure to get every part of him that was exposed--including the tips of his ears--but somehow Ididn't get his BACK! His back isn't quite as bad as Dingy's, but still redder than it should be!

Fish Stick

Dippy said this rock looked just like a fish stick. (Maybe I should have packed extra snacks for the trip!)

Fish

Goofy put on Dingy's goggles yesterday.....

Moved his arms around in the water....

Then said, "I a fish, Mommy!"

Beach Time!

I took the kids to Colonial Beach yesterday. I do have some pictures to post. (I know, Grandma, I've been slow getting you new pictures up!) It's been very busy around here, so I just haven't had time. And you know what? I don't have time now, either! This is just one of those teaser posts that tell you pictures will be coming later today. As soon as I have time, and I will try very hard to MAKE time this afternoon, I will get you some pictures up.

Last Day of School

OK. So I know they have been out of school for almost a week now. But better late then never, right?

Have you noticed how Dingy always looks so happy in her first day pictures?
Then not so much on her last day? She insists she was smiling. I guess it was on the inside.
And then we have our little Dippy.

It was raining a little when we took his picture.
I took the pictures against the brick so we could tell how much they grew this year. I don't think they grew!!

And then Dingy's Grandpa and I walked up to the busstop to say good bye on her last day of 7th grade.

We also walked Dippy to school. This was the last time he would walk to school. Next year, he'll join Dingy at the busstop.

5th Grade Graduation!!

Dippy graduated from 5th grade last night!!!

He was picked to lead the Kerrydale pledge of respect.

This was a physical fitness award.

Safety Patrol

(Melanie, the girl sitting on the end of his row in the white dress is Crissy's daughter.)

I would have posted some pictures of him smiling during the ceremony, but there were NONE!!! He sat there the entire time without ONE smile!!

So we grabbed him before we went home and demanded pictures of him smiling!

Finally! Then I asked for one with his Dad. THIS is what I got!

And then THIS happened!

Poor Toots!

Apparently, other households don't have the same rules as we do about wearing helmets when riding bikes! Poor Toots had a little accident last night.

But, look! NOW she's prepared!!

Aunt Una and Uncle E, please make sure she wears her helmet from now on. You don't want her to bump her head too many times and turn out like her Uncle Dumbledork!!

Dingy's Gift

Dingy made me a mug for my birthday! Pretty nice, huh? She brought it out all wrapped in newspaper. I had no idea she had anything for me. I asked her if she just wrapped up my new Hershey mug! (she would do something like that, you know!)
Dippy made me breakfast this morning. Of course, he had a pancake before he made me mine! He got up extra early so he could get it made for me before school. Then we both ended up falling back asleep. I woke up at 8:35. Dippy leaves for school between 8:35 and 8:45. I found him sound asleep on the couch downstairs not even dressed for school! We made a mad dash around the house and got him ready and I had to drive him down just so he didn't get a tardy! I think we're ALL ready for summer vacation.

It's My Birthday!!!

Look what MelanieWelanie sent me!!!!

It has my name on it!! THEY KNOW ME!!!

Like the helpful little fingers?

More little fingers. I had to explain "MINE" to him!

And look what was inside!!!!

Thanks Melanie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Way Home

This is the Momma Black Bear we saw on the way back to Mom and Dad's house. She had a baby with her. Possibly two.

The Reception

Bubble machines make everything better!

During the Wedding

Well, the rehearsal went great for Goofy. I think maybe we got a little over-confident.
He walked down the aisle. A little behind the rest of the little guys, but he walked. (OK. He stopped at our seat on the way down and said 'Hold me'. But he walked on down.
Again, I guess it wasn't all about Goofy, so here's a bride.

I realized after last week, that I really do not like my new camera all that much. It doesn't give me clear pictures inside and zoom is especially blurry! But here's Goofy at the front. Not smiling, but being good.

After Bill sat down, Rod leaned over and said that Goofy was getting ready to cry. Rod could see his little lip come out. Then the tears started pouring down his little face. We're not sure exactly what happened. He dropped his pillow. I don't know if he thought he was in trouble because he was supposed to hold onto it. All he did was raise his hand and it slipped off. But he knew he was supposed to stand where he was, so he didn't go and get it. I don't know if someone had handed it back to him, if he would have been OK or not. But he at least cried silently so the ceremony wasn't interrupted!

He did pull it together and walk back up the aisle. This time he stopped and came into our seat! We managed to get him to go out the back with the other kids int he wedding party. by the time he got to the back of the church, I heard him start crying again. Dingy and Dippy had sat in the back and I saw Dingy take him out so I knew he was being comforted.

He doesn't like to look at these pictures at all. If he decides to never get married later in life, I think we'll be able to link it back to this day!

Getting Ready for the Wedding

Here's more pics from Natasha's wedding.

This is with his SECOND flower! The pink one didn't last very long.

Hanging around waiting. He's looking like he's all ready to walk down the aisle and be happy.

Did you know that Santa shaves his beard in the 'off season'?

Pictures at Mom and Dad's before the wedding.

I guess that's one way to get a smile!
